Easy Free From Plum Cake

Not only is this really easy but it’s also delicious and nutritious with the beautiful of almond and plums. As a bonus it’s also gluten free, grain free, vegetarian and vegan friendly!

  • 1 Tablespoon coconut oil, melted (for greasing the cake tin)

The Plums

  • 10 Plums, core removed and halved
  • 1 Tablespoon Maple syrup 
  • ¼ Teaspoon Sea Salt

The Batter

  • 1 Cup Almond flour
  • 3 Eggs
  • 6 Tablespoons Maple syrup
  • ¼ Cup Coconut oil, melted
  • 1 Teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 Teaspoons vanilla extract
  • ¼ Teaspoon sea salt


  • Preheat the oven to 180℃
  • Greece a 7 inch spring form cake tin with a tablespoon of melted coconut oil
  • Evenly spread the plums across the base of the tin, top with the maple syrup and sea salt
  • In a large bowl add the batter ingredients, stir well to combine and pour over the plum
  • Bake for 45 minutes in a fan assisted oven or up to 1 hour in a non-fan assisted oven or until golden (test that it’s ready with a skewer, if it comes out clean the cake is ready)
  • Serve with ice cream/frozen yogurt/a dairy free alternative
